Purpose
This covers details about helping the program in ways big or small. We need on-field helpers to make the program as successful for as many kids as possible. Whether you want to be active in the direct coaching or more in a support role, we can use you.

🔥 Coaching / On-Field Volunteering
You do NOT need to know anything about the sport to be able to help the program. Onfied helpers can include helping herd players at practice, drill setup as directed by coaches, and other tasks.
Note that there is some free / from home training required: SafeSport, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion, Implicit Bias training, and a background check.
What the commitment looks like
- All coaches work together to plan and execute practice and game strategies.
- New coaches will be supported by experienced staff/coaches and utilized in a way to help you and the program succeed.
- You don't have to be there all the time. One or two days a week is great.
- You don’t have to be an ultimate veteran expert. While familiarity with the game is desired, even having coaching, training, or other athletic training is useful.
Ways volunteer coaches can help
Even if you’re not experienced at ultimate, ways you can still help include:
- Setup drills (place cones/discs) as directed by other coaches.
- Help give input on player form during plyometric/dynamic warmups and lead them if necessary.
- Help manage the sideline, especially during practice scrimmages. This means checking in with players, queuing them up to sub in at the next change, etc.
- Plan, run, or help lead a conditioning workout at the last 15 minutes of practice. (We currently lose the field at 5pm but are thinking to do a conditioning workout afterwards until 5:15. It would be great to have fresh/different adult energy here.)
- General redirecting players to listen when others are talking, to follow directions, to keep comments positive.
